In high school I was able to make two sculptures, both of which were self-portraits of different senses.
The first is a more obvious play on the self-portrait. Rather than making a painting of my face, I made a physical rendition of my thoughts reflecting on themselves and each other ad infinitum. This project involved laser-cut acrylic, interrogation glass, arduino controlled screens, soldering and circuits.

A year later, with the help of the Phillip Rigg Scholarship for Visual Art and Dogwood District Scholarship for Visual Art, I was able to make a follow-up work using similar computational design techniques, interrogation glass, and this time, 3D printing.
